Roxanne Hulme, founder of Leicestershire children’s activity business The Little Sensory Co, has been shortlisted in the 2026 Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

The supplied finalist announcement names Hulme in the Consumer Entrepreneur of the Year category for the Midlands. The company has its registered office in Sileby, according to Companies House.

From a local business to a franchise network

Hulme says she started the business around ten years ago with the aim of building work around family life. She says it has since developed into a network of more than 70 franchisees across the UK.

The business offers baby and toddler activities under brands including Little Mess and Little Glow. The franchise figure is the company’s account of its network, rather than a count of classes or individual venues.

Hulme said: “Being nominated for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards means so much to me.”

She said the recognition also reflected the team and franchisees who had helped the business grow.
