Charnwood Borough Council has launched a Business Growth Programme to help local businesses grow, innovate and improve productivity. The programme is funded by the council and delivered by Loughborough University in partnership with Horizon360 and Community Enterprise Engine.

The scheme is open to ambitious businesses based in Charnwood that are looking to expand. Eligible businesses may access fully funded support including business growth diagnostics, one-to-one coaching, growth action planning, and additional support focused on growth, innovation and productivity.

Business Growth Boardroom Sessions

The core element of the programme is the Business Growth Boardroom — regular sessions designed to give business leaders dedicated time away from day-to-day operations to focus on strategic priorities and discuss challenges with their peers.

Sessions will take place at The Careers & Enterprise Hub in Loughborough from 9am to 12.30pm on the following dates:

Thursday 29 October 2026
Thursday 26 November 2026
Thursday 28 January 2027
Thursday 25 February 2027

The programme is built around peer learning. Business owners are encouraged to share experiences, challenge their thinking and gain fresh perspectives through conversations with others facing similar challenges.

Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, the Council's Lead Member for Housing, Economic Development, Regeneration and Town Centres, said: "Supporting local businesses to thrive is a key priority for the Council and this programme will provide valuable opportunities for organisations across Charnwood to develop, innovate and grow."
