Three Charnwood leisure centres are holding a free Big Open Weekend on 10 and 11 October, offering residents complimentary access to swimming sessions, fitness classes and family activities.
Loughborough Leisure Centre, Soar Valley Leisure Centre and South Charnwood Leisure Centre will each run the event. Activities on offer include family swimming sessions, gym access and pickleball sessions.
Who is running the event
Leisure Solutions Community Trust (LSCT) operates the three centres in partnership with Serco Leisure, under the MORE Leisure brand. The centres are managed on behalf of Charnwood Borough Council.
Matt Smith, Contract Manager in Charnwood for LSCT, said: "This is our first Big Open Weekend since we began operating the centres, and we're really excited about the programme of sessions we've got on offer. Visitors can try our facilities for free, take part in a range of activities, and experience our inclusive and friendly centres."
Cllr Anne Gray, Charnwood Borough Council's Lead Member for Waste, Open Spaces and Leisure Facilities, added: "The Big Open Weekend will give residents the opportunity to experience the excellent facilities available free of charge at our leisure centres."
