Three Charnwood leisure centres will offer free swimming, fitness and family activities on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2026.
Loughborough Leisure Centre, Soar Valley Leisure Centre and South Charnwood Leisure Centre are taking part in the Big Open Weekend organised by Leisure Solutions Community Trust (LSCT).
The programme across the centres includes family swimming sessions, gym access and pickleball, giving residents an opportunity to try activities without paying for the participating sessions.

First open weekend under the operator
Matt Smith, Charnwood contract manager for LSCT, said: "This is our first Big Open Weekend since we began operating the centres, and we're really excited about the programme of sessions we've got on offer."
He encouraged residents to try the facilities and said the weekend would offer opportunities ranging from gym visits to family swimming.
Councillor Anne Gray, Charnwood Borough Council's lead member for waste, open spaces and leisure facilities, said the event would allow people to experience the leisure centres free of charge and explore ways to support their health and wellbeing.
LSCT manages the three facilities on behalf of Charnwood Borough Council, in partnership with Serco Leisure. They operate under the MORE Leisure brand.
Residents can check the timetable and booking information through MORE Leisure and the website of their chosen centre.
